Man arrested for 4th OWI after police found him walking shoeless on a highway ramp in Brown County

DE PERE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 30-year-old man was arrested for his fourth OWI after police allegedly found him walking shoeless on a highway ramp in Brown County on Sunday, April 4.

Eric Shemenkowski from Seymour was arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Fond du Lac Post shortly after 5 a.m. on Sunday.

Officials say a trooper located a crashed vehicle on I-41 southbound near De Pere. The car was unoccupied and one pair of shoes were found near the car, 

According to a news release, Shemenkowski was the registered owner of the car. He was allegedly found walking shoeless on a nearby ramp and showed signs of impairment. 

Shemenkowski was booked into the Brown County jail. Officials say his charges include the following: 4th offense operating while under the influence, failure to install ignition interlock device, unsafe lane deviation, operating without a license, failure to report an accident, and hit run property adjacent to highway. He was additionally placed on a probation hold
