Inmate found deceased in Ozaukee County Jail

OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An inmate was found dead at the Ozaukee County Jail on Saturday, June 1. 

According to the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office, at around 2:30 a.m., a 36-year-old man from Milwaukee was found deceased in a holding cell.

He was identified Monday as Nelson Torres Morales. 

Authorities he was arrested by the Mequon Police Department for possession of drug paraphernalia, felony possession of narcotic drugs, felony bail jumping and an out-of-county warrant. He had been in custody since Thursday, May 30. 

The incident was turned over to the Washington County Sheriff's Office for investigation.
