Man sentenced to 47.5 years in prison after the death of his 12-year-old son
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Forty-five-year-old Romuan Moye was sentenced to 47.5 years in prison after the death of his 12-year-old son Jacarie Robinson in 2023.
Robinson's body was found malnourished and decomposing on his living room floor.
Moye was charged with first-degree reckless homicide, three counts of chronic neglect of a child and failure to report his son's death.
His older brother told authorities he found Robinson's body wrapped up in a blanket on his father's living room floor after not hearing from him for weeks.
The complaint also mentioned that Robinson's siblings told police that Moye would often punish Jacarie harshly, some lasting for weeks for misbehaving and stealing food.
An autopsy found the boy had fractures in both arms and in his right ribs.
Moye plead guilty to multiple counts in court on Thursday, Aug. 29.
