Marquette holds Class of 2020 graduation ceremony Saturday

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Marquette University welcomed back the Class of 2020 for a graduation ceremony walk Saturday afternoon, Oct. 2.

The event, honoring the Class of 2020, was held on the university’s Central Mall.

Marquette President Michael R. Lovell, Provost, Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Kimo Ah Yun, and other university leaders, read off graduates names during a procession on stage.

University officials say that pp to two guests were able to cross the stage with each graduate.

According to Marquette University, nearly 450 graduates of Marquette’s Class of 2020 and over 1,200 total participants attended the ceremony.

The Class of 2020 had their original graduation ceremony canceled/postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
