MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A local staple restaurant located at 13th and Layton announced Thursday, Nov. 4, that Dec. 19 will be its final day after 48 years in business.

"Words can't express how grateful we are for the love, laughter, and memories we've shared with you," Martino's said in a social media post on Tuesday, Nov. 4. "While this isn't goodbye forever, it's time to reflect on this incredible journey we've shared."

The restaurant invited customers to stop by in the coming weeks to celebrate and share their favorite stories.

"Thank you for making Martino's part of your lives," the post said.
