Severe weather: Flooding rivals historic August storms

MILWUAKEE (CBS 58) -- The last week had storms blowing through our area with severe thunderstorms, tornadoes and flash flooding.

Wednesday night is no different with severe thunderstorms causing flood waters reminiscent to the historic August flooding from last year.

All across the Milwaukee area, cars can be seen underwater, with flooding creeping onto interstates and some people having to push vehicles from flooded waters.

At American Family Field, after the Brewers vs. the Blue Jays game, people rolled up their pants as they waded through the waters filling the area around the stadium to get to the Hank Aaron Trail nearby.

This all comes after Governor Tony Evers declared a state of emergency after severe storms raged through Wisconsin Tuesday night, leaving behind damage to homes, businesses and more.
