Meet CBS 58’s Pet of the Week: Brutus
SHOREWOOD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Masks are just as valuable as money these days at one local financial institution. All 33 North Shore Bank locations are participating in the "#MaskUpMKE" initiative along with various ministries, non-profits, and even the Milwaukee Bucks. The goal is to make 3.5 million face masks for community members, and there's a call out to volunteers who can make this happen by the end of the month. All you have to do is pick up, and eventually drop off, mask making kits at the bank. Each box contains everything you need to make 700 of them -- with no sewing required.
Ben Palmer, with Just One More Ministry and project coordinator, says it takes 15 hours whether you do it as a family around the table or watching a movie. He says it's a fun project from the comforts of your home, and it really serves a need happening now.
Again, you have until the end of June to put these masks together. If you can, you're asked to pre-register before you pick up your kit available at every North Shore Bank location. Click here for everything you need to know about #MaskUpMKE.
