MPD: 38-year-old Milwaukee man fatally shot near 26th and Port Sunlight Way

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police say a 38-year-old man was fatally shot near 26th and Port Sunlight Way on Monday, July 5.

Police responded to scene shortly before 8:30 a.m. 

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.

Police are seeking unknown suspects.

One neighbor told CBS 58 that crime happens often in this community.

"Every year, somebody gets killed right around here. All in the park (Garden Homes Park) they shooting, shooting the park up, shooting each other," said resident Kenn Winters.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office (MCMEO) is responding to a homicide near 26th and Port Sunlight Way on Monday, July 5.

Officials say the Milwaukee Police Department is investigating.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
