MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --Three men are in custody after a pursuit that ended with deputies discovering firearms and drugs.

According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, deputies attempted to stop a Sudan on Wednesday, June 26, for reckless driving and speeding.

The sheriff's office says deputies attempted a traffic stop. The deputies watched the vehicle exit on I-794 from the Lake Interchange and attempted to stop the Sudan. Instead of stopping, the driver, a 20-year-old man, sped up and circled back onto the freeway. Both deputies followed the vehicle and observed baggies of a white substance being thrown from the vehicle. Deputies say they also saw a large handgun thrown from the vehicle.

More deputies converged near Lisbon and 30th to where the vehicle was reportedly circling the area and lost speed due to deflated tires, which was damaged when the vehicle struck curves and other roadway obstructions after the traffic stop.

The vehicle stopped in an alley near 32nd and 33rd. The 20-year-old driver then fled on foot, hiding in a parked vehicle nearby that had apparently been called to the area as an escape vehicle.

Deputies deployed a premier and K9s and the K9 unit tracked the last known direction of the driver, leading to the second parked vehicle, which contained three subjects, according to MCSO.

Deputies ordered the subjects from the vehicle, and the deputy who initiated the traffic stop identified one of the men as the driver.

The 20-year-old driver, another 20-year-old man, and a 21-year-old man were all arrested.

Deputies say four firearms were recovered, including the one thrown out from the vehicle. Two of the pistols, which were listed by the Milwaukee Police Department as stolen, were equipped with conversion switches, making them fully automatic weapons. 128.3 grams of cocaine, 25.4 grams of Fentanyl laced Heroin, and 8 Xanax pills were recovered as well, according to the sheriff's office.
