BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The upcoming generation of medical professionals took the next step in their careers at the Brookfield Conference Center Friday, March 21.
More than 200 Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) students were in attendance for National Residency Match Day.
The students received their results from the National Matching Program, which pairs graduating students with residency programs across the country based on mutual interest.
"It's nerve-wracking, but also really exciting because you know, you get to see the labors - the fruits of your labor, essentially, pay off," said Adrienne Davis, incoming surgery resident at the University of Iowa. "You know that you're gonna have a job and you're going somewhere that's gonna take care of you. I'm really excited, I'm over the moon."
MCW is the largest private research institution in the state of Wisconsin, with more than 1,600 students enrolled in their various medical programs.
