MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Milwaukee police report one person died in a crash that happened near 68th and Hampton Wednesday night. 

Police were called to the scene around 7:35 p.m. 

Authorities say a 34-year-old driver heading west on Hampton hit another car with two people inside. 

The passenger of that car, a 63-year-old, died at the scene. 

The driver of the car that was hit, a 70-year-old, was taken to the hospital where they are expected to be ok. 

The 34-year-old driver was taken into custody before going to the hospital. 

Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
