Mental health counselor charged after allegedly sexually assaulting, stalking woman
CEDARBURG, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A counselor at a local mental health center is facing criminal charges after allegedly stalking and sexually assaulting a woman.
The accused is 27-year-old William Skalecki of Cedarburg. Records show Skalecki faces numerous charges, including first-degree sexual assault (use of a dangerous weapon), kidnapping (carries forcibly), and stalking resulting in bodily harm.
According to a criminal complaint, a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office deputy responded to Wisconsin Avenue Park in Wauwatosa on Nov. 9, for a report of a woman sexually assaulted at knifepoint.
The complaint says the woman was leaving an appointment nearby when she encountered Skalecki, who forced her into the back seat of his SUV and drove her to the park. There, the complaint says Skalecki pulled out a large kitchen knife and held it to her throat before sexually assaulting her and dropping her off down the road.
Prosecutors say the victim believed Skalecki had been following or tracking her, noting at least nine encounters with him between October and November.
Authorities arrested Skalecki at his place of employment on Nov. 10 and an initial appearance was held in Milwaukee County court Nov. 15.
Court records show Skalecki was released after posting a $100,000 cash bond on Nov. 20.
A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 22.
