MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Religious and community leaders joined Milwaukee police and firefighters to denounce recent violence tonight, July 3.
From this morning's shootings in Shorewood to last week's tragic shooting of two Milwaukee police officers.
"The police officers in Shorewood and all the police officers here in Milwaukee County and in the state of Wisconsin - thank you for keeping us safe, thank you for putting your lives on the line," said Tracey Dent of the Peace for Change Alliance.
That was the message behind the anti-violence vigil held tonight in Milwaukee.
