MFD rescues 3 from early morning house fire near 32nd and Silver Spring

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Fire Department responded to a house fire early Thursday, Dec. 2 near the corner of 32nd and Silver Spring.

Fire officials tell CBS 58 that the fire was reported at 5:39 a.m. with flames visible from the first floor upon arrival.

Crews rescued three people from the home, with two being found outside when crews arrived and a third being located on the second floor during a search. Ladders were used to access the second floor and removed the third person.

All three people were taken to Froedtert Hospital for treatment.

The fire was extinguished, and searches for further extension were completed. MFD and We Energies assisted with traffic control and utilities.

An investigation into the fire’s cause is ongoing.
