Milwaukee Art Museum After Dark this Friday, April 17th
Most rave about the Milwaukee Art Museum and its gorgeous Quadracci Pavilion with the first light of day and how the natural sunlight pours in over the Calatrava.
But MAM wants you to also consider a visit at night. It's hosted a series of MAM After Dark events and the next one is this Friday, April 17th.
\"It's a whole different spin,\" explained museum spokesperson Krista Renfrew on the CBS 58 News at 4 p.m. \"We totally utilized the space. We take the night and we create a really great, energetic party feel.\"
The after dark event features music and friends and most importantly art.
The concept was born out of the desire to draw in more young professionals and create the recognition that the art museum is really for everyone.
The prices are pretty hard to beat; $10 at the door, $8 advance and museum members are free.
\"It's a great night on the town,\" declared Renfrew. \"We're the 5th sexiest building in the world. Why not grab some friends, come out on a Friday night and enjoy the art museum?\"
April 17th's event will feature a fashion show challenge. After the runway show, audience members will pick the top designs.
It's being organized by the group Diverse & Resilient Inc, a non-profit that seeks to bring better understanding about the LGBT community.
