MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Hunger Task Force received more than 107,000 pounds of food during the State Fair.
That food needs to be sorted before it goes to a distribution center, and the Milwaukee Beer Barons have stepped up to the plate.
The group is made up of 140 home brewers and beer enthusiasts.
"We like to home brew. We make it ourselves," said Milwaukee Beer Barons Vice President Tom Nowalis. "We partner with breweries in the area, and we have local competitions. We like to take our proceeds every year and donate it to a scholarship."
The scholarship supports those looking to learn the art of brewing.
