Milwaukee Brewers team up with Journey House to help kids build bears

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Some Brewers players got up close and personal with their young fans on Saturday.

Six Brewers and 25 kids from the Journey House created their own furry friends from Build-A-Bear Workshop at the Journeyman Hotel.

Kids were able to dress their personalized bears in baseball apparel. They also took part in the "heart ceremony" and birth certificate distribution.

After building their bears, the players had lunch with the kids and their parents.

Journey House assists families on Milwaukee's south side by offering adult education, youth development, workforce readiness, and family engagement.
