Milwaukee church hosting food distribution on Saturday, registration required

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee church is giving groceries to 500 families this weekend.

Christian Faith Fellowship Church said they doubled the amount of families after seeing the need due to COVID-19.

On Saturday morning, April 4, their parking lot will turn into a drive-up distribution site.

The site location is 7210 W. Good Hope Rd. in Milwaukee.

Each family will pop their trunk and one box of food will be put inside.

Organizers say there should be enough food to feed a family of four.

“We understand that feeding people spiritually is one part of it, but feeding them physically is another huge important part of it," said DJ Hines, chief operations officer of Christian Faith Fellowship Church.

Families must pre-register for this event, and get a ticket.

We’re told the list is filling up fast.

The church told CBS 58 it will host future food distribution events as part of its "We Give MKE" campaign.
