Cinco de Mayo celebration held at UMOS Center
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Milwaukee Common Council President Ashanti Hamilton is responding to criticism from a city alderman.
Hamilton and Alderman Zielinski exchanged letters over the handling of former Milwaukee County Health Commissioner Bevan Baker and the department’s lead program.
Hamilton wrote a letter Tuesday responding to Alderman Zielinski’s questioning of why a subpoena was not issued for Baker to appear before the Steering and Rules committee.
Hamilton says Baker could plead the fifth and not answer questions. As CBS 58 Investigates reported in September, the district attorney’s office is reviewing all of the information from the investigation.
