Wisconsin tourism hits record growth for fourth straight year
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The start of June marks the start of Pride Month, and local leaders held an event to celebrate.
Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley, and many more held a flag raising ceremony outside the Milwaukee County Courthouse.
The flag raising reaffirms the county's commitment to celebrating individuality and inclusion not during the month of June, but throughout the entire year.
"Milwaukee County is a place where everyone, every single person deserves respect, safety and freedom to live their authentic selves," said Crowley.
Milwaukee County is once again raising the intersex progress pride flag, which combines the traditional rainbow flag with colors representing people of color, transgender individuals and the intersex community.
