Milwaukee County Parks hosting express lifeguard training sessions to fill jobs for 2025 season

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It may be almost winter, but the Milwaukee County Parks are already looking ahead to next summer. Lifeguard recruiting is officially underway for the 2025 season. 

Positions start at $17.13 per hour, with perks for those who train early. 

New in 2025, Milwaukee County Parks is offering a one-week "express" training session geared toward college students who are home for winter break, making it easier for students to earn their certification. 

Training Schedule for the 2025 Season

• SESSION 1 (Express): January 6 - January 10, Pulaski Pool, with exam on January 11
• SESSION 2: February 4 - February 20, Pulaski Pool, with exam on February 22
• SESSION 3: February 25 - March 13, Noyes Pool, with exam on March 15

According to a news release, those who pass the test and commit to the 2025 Lifeguard Corps in January and February will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card.
