Milwaukee County seeks poll workers for August election

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County is hiring poll workers for the August Partisan Primary Election on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

According to a Monday, Aug. 5 release, the county is seeking people, including those who are bilingual in Spanish or Hmong, to assist at the polls. Poll workers will receive a $220 stipend for a full-day shift or $117 for a half-day shift, plus $45 for attending training.

Bilingual workers are eligible for an additional $15.

Qualifications include being a U.S. citizen, 18 years or older, or high school students aged 16 and 17, living in Milwaukee County, as well as having no felony convictions.
