MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The band 'Razzmatazz' welcomed families to the Milwaukee County Zoo for Egg Day!
Egg Day is a special pre-Easter celebration.
Kids and their families participated in themed activities like face painting, bingo, an egg hunt and more.
Kids wore bunny ears as they hopped to see their favorite animals and, of course, the Easter Bunny!
The zoo's communications coordinator says it's great to see families celebrate Easter at the zoo.
"People love the zoo, any chance to come out and celebrate the holiday, the animals, it's great because it's another option to celebrate the holiday," said Kimberly Graves, Communications Coordinator, Milwaukee County Zoo.
The celebration continues on Easter Sunday.
New this year is the "Egg Day Brunch Buffet" at the zoo.
Registration closed a few days ago, but don't worry, families can still enjoy the sights and sounds of the zoo. Just make sure to eat a hearty breakfast before or some candy.
