Milwaukee DNC Host Committee reduces staff by half as plans are adjusted

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The DNC has started to lay off workers as democrats are now preparing for an August convention.

Of its 31 staff members, the Milwaukee 2020 Host Committee has laid off six workers, while 11 employees have been offered positions with either the 2020 Democratic National Convention Committee or as organizers for the party.

The CEO of the Host Committee says they're adjusting their plans based on the current pandemic, but are still committed to hosting the convention in August.
