MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Diabetic eye disease is the leading cause of blindness among working-age adults in the United States.
Dr. Yao Liu, director of the UW Teleophthalmology Program and ophthalmologist at UW Health, joined us to chat about the issue on Wednesday, July 24.
A community resource fair will raise awareness and demonstrate new eye care services and is scheduled for Saturday, July 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Outreach Community Health Centers, 220 West Capitol Dr. in Milwaukee.
The fair is part of Community Health Centers Week, aiming to promote health literacy and healthy lifestyle choices. Attendees can learn about various health services, enjoy entertainment, and participate in activities.
More information is available on the health center's website.
