MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An 8-year-old boy was shot while walking down a Milwaukee sidewalk Monday evening.
According to police, the shooting happened around 9:15 p.m. near 34th and Hadley. Authorities believe two people were shooting across the street toward a house when the victim was hit.
Police say the child was taken to a hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound and is now in stable condition.
The incident remains under investigation.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A shooting investigation is underway in Milwaukee.
According to the Milwaukee Fire Department, a child was shot near 34th and Locust.
It happened around 9:45 p.m. on Monday.
There is currently no word on the child's condition or what led up to the shooting.
Milwaukee Police are on scene investigating but have not made any information available as of yet.
