MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee firefighters stopped by Aurora St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee Thursday to deliver some free meals to the workers.
It was a team project, involving Wahlburgers restaurant and the Milwaukee Brewers, and some of the workers came out in their masks to greet the firefighters with signs to show their gratitude.
"When we see a show of support like this -- receive a hot meal, have members of our community come out and support us, it's so energizing, it's humbling, but it's energizing at the same time," said Dori Tooke, VP of Operations at Aurora St. Luke's.
One thousand meals will be donated Thursday and Friday.
