Milwaukee firefighters pull unconscious person from house fire

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee firefighters say they found an unconscious person and pulled them from the flames as they were battling a house fire on the morning Sun., Nov. 10th. 

Officials say they responded to the fire in the area of Wright and Palmer St. shortly before 9:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, a person stated there was another person on the second floor of the house. 

During the search, the Milwaukee Fire Department says they located the unconscious victim, removed them, and they were taken to the hospital.

The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Officials say there were no other injuries to firefighters or civilians.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and is being investigated by MFD Fire Investigation Unit and MPD.

No damage estimate is available at this time, but MFD says there was significant damage to the building.

MFD says the building on the outside appeared to be vacant based on the boarded-up doors/windows.
