MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- WWE SmackDown is set to return to Milwaukee, featuring WWE Undisputed Champion "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, among other superstars. That list of wrestlers includes names such as Roman Reigns, United States Champion LA Knight and WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill to Fiserv Forum.

The show will take place on Friday, Nov. 15, offering fans an opportunity to see their favorite wrestlers in action. Tickets are on sale now.

Rhodes discussed his role as champion and his connection to Milwaukee’s wrestling heritage in an interview with CBS 58's Mike Curkov.

"I’ve always liked forward-facing and leading the charge for pro wrestling and sports entertainment and trying to do all I can to represent it now, of course, as WWE Champion -- that’s the honor of my life," he said.

Reflecting on Milwaukee’s pro wrestling history, he mentioned his father, wrestling legend Dusty Rhodes, after being asked about Reggie "Da Crusher" Lisowski, known as "the man who made Milwaukee famous."

"I love that you brought up the Crusher because that’s always the first place I tend to go -- Bruiser, Crusher, Milwaukee AWA -- the one area on the planet where my father was a bad guy with him and Dick Murdoch, the Texas Outlaws in that territory. And that’s really what set them on their career trajectory and punched my dad further into superstardom."

Rhodes emphasized the significance of Milwaukee as a "wrestling town," stating, "There’s always more to the story when you’re there."
