MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee man accused of trying to frame an immigrant by forging a letter threatening the President returned to court Wednesday, June 25.
Demetric Scott is charged with identity theft, bail jumping and intimidation of a witness.
He was scheduled to have his preliminary hearing Wednesday morning. He was warned by the judge to not "turn court hearings into a circus" after an outburst at the judge and the assistant district attorney.
The case was adjourned when Scott's defense attorney said there's a conflict of interest.
"Because of the conflict -- they don't want to accidentally make it worse -- I need to withdraw off all of Mr. Scott's cases, both the two prior cases, I need to withdraw off as well, your honor," defense attorney Robert Hampton said.
Scott has an assault case where he's accused of stabbing and stealing the immigrant's bike, but that jury trial, which was set to start next month, has been postponed.
He's due back in court for a status conference on July 21.
