MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The man suspected of shooting 15-year-old Exziel Rivera and 18-year-old Nayah Vasquez on Christmas Day has been arrested, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.
Eighteen-year-old Jeremiah Taylor had been charged with first-degree reckless homicide and had a warrant out for his arrest for several months before he was arrested by the South Milwaukee Police Department on July 22.
The shooting happened around 11:25 a.m. near the intersection of 37th and Scott, when, according to the prosecution, Quintarez Morris was driving as Jeremiah Taylor shot the teenagers. Exziel died at the scene, while Nayah later died at a hospital.
On July 8, Morris received a sentence of five years behind bars after pleading guilty to harboring or aiding a felon.
The families of Rivera and Vasquez created GoFundMe accounts to help pay for their memorial and funeral costs.
