Milwaukee man charged in homicide of pregnant mother of 4 enters guilty plea
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Quran Robey pleaded guilty Tuesday, Nov. 5, after being charged in the homicide of a pregnant woman.
Twenty-eight-year-old Robey pleaded guilty to first-degree intentional homicide and first-degree reckless injury.
He's accused of killing 30-year-old Tynesha Crawford, a pregnant mother of four, almost one year ago after an argument near 33rd and Center.
Jury selection for a trial began on Monday, but before then, Robey had argued with Judge Laura Crivello about even having a trial, despite it being in the making for months.
“It’s like I’m going into trial with a blindfold on,” Robey told the judge, saying he didn’t feel like he or his attorney were ready. “But I’m okay with being convicted, I already admitted to the crime. We already know I did it, but I want to be sentenced off the truth and not just what Mr. Vance-Curzan has on me.”
Sentencing is set for Feb. 7.
