Milwaukee man sentenced to 11 years in prison for crash involving school bus

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The man who led police on a chase through Milwaukee, that ended in a crash involving a school bus, has learned his fate. 

Twenty-seven-year-old Elijahwan Shabazz was sentenced Tuesday in Milwaukee County court to 11-and-a-half years in prison. 

It comes after a 2023 crash left a school bus flipped and mangled near 76th and Capitol.

In all, three people were hurt including a 3-year-old child who suffered head injuries during the crash. 

Shabazz has also been ordered to serve three years of supervised release following his prison sentence.
