MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — You've heard of Coffee with a Cop, but Wednesday brought a different twist: Donuts with Detectives.

Community members gathered at Marcus DeBack Playground for the casual event, which gave residents a chance to meet detectives with the Milwaukee Police Department.

Attendees were able to ask questions, learn more about detectives' work and connect with officers in an informal setting — all while enjoying donuts from Dunkin'.

The event was designed to help build relationships between police and the community outside of traditional law enforcement interactions.

Donuts with Detectives ran from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday.
