MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man was sentenced to 38 years in prison Wednesday, Oct. 14, after pleading guilty to charges in the murder of US Postal Service employee Aundre Cross.

Prosecutors say 40-year-old Kevin McCaa fatally shot Cross while he was delivering mail in Milwaukee back in December of 2022; they say McCaa, along with Charles Ducksworth Jr., watched Cross for more than a half-hour before the homicide and targeted him because they thought he'd stolen their drug package.

McCaa was charged with second-degree murder and discharging a firearm.

The US Attorney's Office says Ducksworth pleaded guilty to the same crimes and is scheduled for sentencing on Nov. 18.
