MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) - Wisconsin continues to send prospects to the next level and Milwaukee's Mitch Voit is the latest.
The former Whitefish Bay star heard his name called by the New York Mets with the 38th overall pick.
Voit spent the last three seasons at Michigan. As a junior, Voit was an All-Big Ten First Team selection and All-Defensive team at second base. He batted 0.346 with a 0.471 on-base percentage, 0.688 slugging percentage. Voit knocked in 60 RBI, 14 home runs and 14 stolen bases, all career-highs during his time in Ann Arbor.
As a sophomore, Voit also hit 14 home runs while also pitching in 62.1 innings with a 5-3 record and 41 strikeouts. He was an All-Big Ten Utility player in 2024. In 2023, Voit pitched in relief for 36 innings and played primarily third base as a freshman making the All-Big Ten Freshman team.
