MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee photographer is hoping to raise money to replace equipment after he had more than $20,000 worth of gear stolen in Chicago.
Samer Ghani says this happened sometime on Thursday.
He says he has multiple shoots lined up for the weekend and does not have a camera.
He says without being able to work, it impacts Milwaukee's artistic community.
"It was like losing a car, it was like losing your job, that's what it felt like. It felt like I got fired from someone I never met before so it may be one of the most devastating things I've ever experienced," said Ghani.
A GoFundMe page has been setup and he's hoping to raise $8,000.
There have been over $4,800 in donations raised as of Friday evening.
