Milwaukee Police: 26-year-old man shot in the back after firing shots outside of the Oasis

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 26-year-old man was taken to a local hospital after a shootout in front of the Oasis.

Milwaukee Police were called to the OASIS Jazz Bar and Grill, located in the 3100 block of Villard, around 2:27 a.m. on Sunday for a report of a shooting.

The investigation revealed that the 26-year-old man was firing multiple shots on the north side of Villard at the front entrance to the Oasis. A man across the street returned fire, striking the 26-year-old man.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Milwaukee Police are searching for the other suspect.
