Fatal Milwaukee hit-and-run victim identified; suspects sought after striking victim at 'high rate of speed'

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Officials confirmed on Tuesday, Aug. 27 that the victim who was reportedly crashed into during a Monday hit-and-run has died.
She has been identified as 38-year-old Tai Rosa Perez. Her multiple injuries had initially been reported to be life-threatening, but on Tuesday, officials confirmed that she did not survive.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's office says that that her Toyota Venza SUV was struck head-on by a Cadillac XT6 SUV. Reports say that the occupants of the Cadillac fled the scene on foot.
According to officials, speed was a factor with the Cadillac driver hitting Perez at a "high rate of speed," despite the fact that the posted speed limit was 30 miles per hour.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a reported hit-and-run collision that occurred Monday, Aug. 26, 2024, near Rogers and Muskego.
Officials say the crash took place at around 5:41 a.m. when a southbound car on Muskego lost control and collided with a northbound vehicle.
Following the crash, the driver and a passenger of the southbound car that lost control reportedly fled the scene on foot.
The driver of the second car, a 38-year-old, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
