Milwaukee Police investigating two Friday shootings

Milwaukee Police are investigating two separate shootings that happened on Friday.

Police were called out to the 6400 of N. 106th Street around 5:00 PM.

A 22-year-old male drove himself to a local hospital after being injured in a shooting.

Police are still searching for a suspect.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation.

Police are also investigating a second shooting that happened shortly before 10:00 PM near 17th and Highland.

Police said that the incident started as a verbal altercation between two people then escalated to the point where a gun was pulled out and several shots were fired.

A 23-year-old man was shot and injured, but is expected to recover.

He drove himself to a local hospital for treatment.

Police are still searching for the suspect.
