Milwaukee police officer accused of groping woman sentenced to 25 hours community service
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee police officer accused of groping a woman at an event with department staff in January of 2023 was sentenced to community service Thursday, May 2.
Thirty-eight-year-old Travis Jung pleaded no contest to a disorderly conduct charge in April after pleading not guilty to a charge of 4th degree sexual assault that was later dropped.
Jung was accused of making inappropriate comments toward the victim, slapping her butt and grabbing her underneath her clothes without consent.
The court sentenced Jung to 45 days in the House of Correction but then stayed the sentence, ordering him to complete 25 hours of community service at a nonprofit or charitable institution. He's also ordered to complete a sex offender assessment and any AODA treatment.
