MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a critically missing person. 

Officials say 44-year-old Robert Carter was last seen the afternoon of Monday, Jan. 6, near 12th and Kilbourn. 

He's described as a Black male, standing around 5'9" and weighing around 180 lbs., with brown eyes, black hair, and a short, dark beard.

Robert was last seen wearing an orange winter jacket over a blue shirt, gray sweatpants, and black shoes with white stripes. 

Robert should be traveling on foot.
