Milwaukee Public Schools to close early again Wednesday due to extreme heat

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) will close early again on Wednesday, June 15 due to weather forecast of extreme heat.

All schools will start at their regular times but will be dismissed earlier than normal.

Schools that begin at 7:20 a.m. will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m.

Schools that begin at 9:00 a.m. will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.

Breakfast and lunch will still be served, and buses will be available to pick up students at early dismissal.

All MPS child care camps, community learning centers and safe places will be canceled for the afternoon and evening, but Milwaukee recreation programs, activities, and Twilight Centers will remain open.

Schools followed the same schedule on Tuesday.
