Milwaukee ranked 19th 'rattiest city' in the country, survey says

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee has been ranked No. 19 on the list of "rattiest cities" in the country -- according to a recent survey. 

The survey was released by Orkin, a pest control company.

Topping the list was Chicago, followed by Los Angeles and then New York. 

Orkin says Chicago has ranked No. 1 on the list since the list's inception. 

The data, according to Orkin's website, was collected by tracking new residential rodent treatments from September 2023 to August 2024. 

The best ways to keep the pests away -- according to Orkin -- is to properly store food, decluttering spaces, maintain property landscape, along with frequent inspections.
