MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee’s 57th Shamrock Club of Wisconsin St. Patrick's Day Parade is set to take place Saturday, March 15, beginning at noon.
It is scheduled to start at N., Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. and W. Wisconsin Ave. and moves through downtown before ending at N. Water St. and Highland Ave.
According to a Tuesday, Feb. 4 press release announcing the event date, the parade will feature more than 100 units, including Irish dancers, pipe and drum corps and local dignitaries. Organizers estimate that 20,000 people attend annually, providing an economic boost to downtown businesses.
Additional activities will include the ShamROCK Kick-off Party on Friday, March 14 at Lucky Clover Irish Pub and a post-parade party at the Irish Cultural & Heritage Center.
