MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two Milwaukee teenagers are in custody after a reported armed robbery at an area Qdoba restaurant.
The Glendale Police Department issued a report early Tuesday, March 14 to note that they received a call at around 10:43 p.m. on Monday, March 13 regarding a report of an armed robbery in progress at the Qdoba at 510 W. Silver Spring Dr.
The suspects involved are an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl.
Officials say that they responded to the area finding that all employees were able to escape and flee the building safely, but that the two suspects were still in the restaurant. The responding officers then reportedly entered the restaurant to attempt to arrest the two suspects but saw that they climbed into the ceiling above the kitchen area.
They allegedly refused to come down when instructed by officers, causing a stand-off during which time officers negotiated with the two to surrender.
Glendale PD's report says that the two never came down, as they instead were seen breaking through the drywall into a neighboring unit. Officers were able to enter that unit and take the two suspects into custody without any further problems.
The two teen suspects will be sought on charges of robbery, false imprisonment and resisting arrest.
