MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's winter parking rules begin Dec. 1 at 10 p.m. and run through March 1. The winter parking regulation kicked in early as a snowstorm hit SE Wisconsin over the weekend.
As of Sunday, Nov. 29 and through Monday, Dec. 1, Milwaukee is under a snow emergency effective right away. According to the City of Milwaukee's website, not all of the winter parking rules are posted on signs throughout the city. Drivers should make themselves aware of the rules ahead of time.
Rules include no parking on main streets overnight, and alternate side street parking. On even-numbered days, park on the side with even house numbers. On odd-numbered days, park on the side with odd house numbers.
You can find overnight parking details for the city of Milwaukee here. Many other municipalities have similar rules.
