MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's Urban Ecology Center brings the great outdoors to the city setting, and just in time for some winter fun.
The nonprofit organization offers up various cross country skiing and snowshoeing classes for beginners.
If you don't need the instruction, you can even go out on your own.
The equipment is provided for free as long as you're a member. The only requirement is you just have to show up ready to learn and enjoy some leisure snow sports.
"Just come on in and get a membership," said instructor Meghan Forseth. "$50 for individual, $60 for a family. Have access to equipment year round...show you how to use everything, teach you how to use it, get you set."
