More rain expected Sunday and Monday as clouds stick around

Our gloomy and wet weather trend continues the next couple of days. Late Friday and into Saturday a round of heavy rain rolled through. The heaviest rain hit our southern counties where most saw 1-3" of rainfall. Some northern spots only picked up a few tenths of an inch.

More rain is expected the next 48 hours in two waves. The first arrives Saturday night into Sunday morning with another round Sunday night into Monday morning. The afternoon, especially late afternoon, of both days should be fairly dry, but if you have outdoor plans grab the umbrella because isolated showers and mist are possible.

The rainfall the next 48 hours is not expected to be heavy with most spots picking up a quarter inch during both waves.

The day to watch for heavy rain will be Wednesday where another few inches will be possible.
