MPD & aldermen speak about officer-involved shooting on south side

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police release more details about their officers being fired upon as they tried to serve a search warrant at a house on the city's south side.

The Milwaukee Police Department says four shots were fired before their officers broke down the front door to the home. Officers arrested three men and three women inside the home. Police found evidence of heroin and crack cocaine use in the home.

Milwaukee Aldermen Jose Perez and Bob Donovan both issued a call to action for residents on the south side of Milwaukee. They're asking residents to partner with them and rid their neighborhood of criminals.

Milwaukee police say they're going to meet with the home's landlord. Police believe the landlord should have had some knowledge about who he was renting to.
